On the one-year anniversary of the deadly Eaton Fire that devastated Altadena and the Los Angeles area, Dawes is organizing A Concert for Altadena at the Pasadena Civic Center on January 7, 2026. The benefit show will support recovery efforts through the Altadena Builds Back Foundation, and will feature performances by Brad Paisley, Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Aloe Blacc, Jackson Browne, Judith Hill, Jenny Lewis, Mandy Moore, Stephen Stills, Everclear, and more, with proceeds aiding rebuilding of homes destroyed in the wildfires. Dawes bandmates/brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith both personally suffered severe losses in the fires, including homes and recording equipment, with the band writing about the benefit concert: “January 7th marks a year to the day that our sweet town got ravaged by the Eaton Fire. It’s gonna be a heavy night, but it’s going to be a beautiful one too.” (Billboard)
